Goddard to weigh in on English-only teaching law
Arizona Republic

Two lawmakers have asked state Attorney General Terry Goddard for an opinion
about tough new guidelines for Arizona's English-only teaching law.
The law requires most children who aren't fluent in English to attend
English-only classes.
In February, state schools chief Tom Horne made it harder for children to opt
out and stay in bilingual classes.
Hayden Democrat Sen. Pete Rios doesn't think he can do that without public
input.
Now, Rios and Rep. John Loredo of Phoenix want Goddard to weigh in.
