UA poets to celebrate new books

Poets and University of Arizona professors Luci Tapahonso and Ofelia Zepeda each has a new volume of poetry out.

Tapahonso is a professor of American Indian studies and English. Her latest volume of poems is "A Radiant Curve." Zepeda's book is titled "Where the Clouds Formed." She is a Regents Professor of Linguistics. Both books are published by the University of Arizona Press.

A release party to celebrate the publications is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at the UA Poetry Center, 1508 E. Helen St.

There will be readings from each poet, discussions, book signings and refreshments. And it'll all be free. Call 621-3920 for more information.
